OUR MISSION

We, Church of Sengkang, exist to bring people to Jesus and membership in His family, develop them to Christ like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and their mission in the world.

"God is able to do above and beyond all we ask or imagine according to his power, which is at work in us" Ephesians 3:20

STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritive Word of God given to man. It is the final authority every area of our lives.
We believe that there is one God, eternal and existent in three Persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in: the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ. His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary and atoning death. His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His second return in power and glory.
We believe that receiving Jesus Christ as one’s personal Lord and Saviour is the one and only way for salvation of lost and sinful man.
We believe in the ever present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who indwells a believer upon receiving Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour and in the baptism with the Holy Spirit, which empowers the believer to a living witness for Jesus Christ.
We believe that there is one universal Church, which comprises of the body of all believers everywhere, with Jesus as the head.
We believe that all believers in any particular locality are members of the local church through which the character and power of Jesus Christ may be expressed

We, members of Church of Punggol Sengkang, dedicate ourselves:

To Encourage one another and all the more as we see the Day approaching. - Hebrews 10:25
To Worship and glorify the Lord Jesus in the splendour of His Holiness. - 1 Chronicles 16:29
To Prayer as we lift up our hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord. - Psalm 134:2
To Preach His Word with great patience and careful instructions. - 2 Timothy 4:2
To Develop into the likeness of Christ as we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. - 2 Peter 3:18
To Evangelise as we do the work of an evangelist of the Gospel of God's Grace. - 2 Timothy 4:5
To Give Glory to God in this Church of Punggol Sengkang and in Christ Jesus. - Ephesians 3:21

Finally, we consecrate ourselves for the service of God. We will serve God as we serve others. O Lord, help us in Jesus' Name. Amen

WHEN YOU ARE HERE

Our worship in English and Mandarin song is an even blend of both, contemporary praise and worship, and traditional hymns done in an upbeat manner.

Worship is more than just a Sunday ritual. At Church of Punggol Sengkang (CoPS), Sunday is a time of celebration! Sunday is a time of fellowship. Sunday is a time for learning. It is a time to bring our best in attitude to worship God. It is time to give back to God in worship. But, Sunday is just the beginning . . .

While a local church needs to meet regularly to pray with one another, fellowship with one another, encourage one another, and most importantly to worship God through songs, hymns, prayer, and teaching from the Bible, together as a group, there really is a lot more to it.

Scripture teaches that we are to worship God in everything we do, every day. We teach and encourage one another to do just that. Yes, we all mess up every so often and have to ask God to forgive us for such. Therefore, we also have Life Groups, which are usually small groups of people that get together every so often at various times of the week to meet, pray, eat, fellowship, encourage, worship and help each other through the challenges of life that everybody faces daily.
